Acne
Acne in melanin-rich skin: why it marks, and how to treat it early

If you have melanin-rich skin, you know the pattern: a pimple appears, it heals, and a dark spot moves in like it is paying rent. That is post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and on darker skin it is often the main complaint.
Melanin-rich skin makes pigment generously. When a pimple injures the skin, pigment cells respond to the inflammation by depositing extra melanin, the same way skin tans after sun.
So clearing pimples alone is half the job. We treat the acne and the marks at the same time, calming inflammation fast so pigment cells never fully activate.
What doesn't work: picking, squeezing and harsh 'lightening' creams. What does: early treatment with the right prescription actives, gentle skincare, daily sunscreen, and patience. Treating acne early is how you protect your face's future.
